• Wool is naturally stain resistant and very durable.
• 1 inch thick with approximately 57 knots per square inch (8,100 per square foot).
• Soft underfoot.
• A finely woven 8x10 hand knotted rug would normally take two artisans 6-8 months to weave. Washing and finishing will take a few weeks after the weaving is complete. Smaller rugs take less time and larger rugs more time.
• Depending on the size of the rug, and for the protection of the rug, we may use a custom cardboard box for shipping. The rug will be folded into the box and when unfolded in your room, may show some creases. These will completely dissipate over a short time. The “weft” (foundation) of the rug is 100% cotton and will lie completely flat after the rug “relaxes.”.

Care

• This rug is incredibly durable and will provide years of service.
• When necessary clean spills or spots by blotting with a mild soap and water solution, rinse with clean water.
• Allow to air dry.
• When drying, lift from the floor so that air can circulate.
• Vacuum regularly and rotate rugs annually to disperse traffic patterns if necessary.
• For major cleaning contact a qualified handmade rug cleaner.
